Phoenix Parks and Preserve Initiative (3PI) Meeting

The Phoenix Parks and Recreation Department is seeking residents’ input on the future direction of the city’s parks and desert preserves. There will be a meeting on Tuesday, August 5, 2008 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Cesar Chavez Library (3635 West Baseline Road). Those unable to attend a meeting can participate online, as the department has posted background information and an online survey on the department website at phoenix.gov/parks in the Park Development Projects link.

Forgotten Classics Cruise Night Saturday Nights at Sonic

If you haven't heard, there is a weekly cruise night for classic cars and bikes at the Sonic Drive-in at 7745 S. 51st Ave. (on the southeast corner of 51st Ave. and Baseline Rd.) from 6:30-9:30 PM every Saturday until September. Bring your family and make a night of it! You can read a review of the event here.
