5th Annual Turkey Trot and Dairy Dash - RESULTS

We kicked off a Great Thanksgiving Week with an Invigorating 5K, 1 Mile Fun Run, and Kids' Dairy Dash in Laveen! It was immediately followed by South Mountain's Harvest Daze, which had booths galore for the whole family to enjoy.

Here are the results of the 5th Annual Turkey Trot 5k run:

The proceeds from this event stay within Laveen to build a stronger Community. Funds go to many community organizations, such as high school scholarships, youth activities, Laveen Community Center project, and much more.

The race starts and finishes at Cesar Chavez High School Stadium. The course is on paved and unpaved city and county roads that include quaint views of beautiful Laveen and Cesar Chavez Park.

The Turkey Trot is presented by the Laveen Community Council. The LCC is a 501(c) 3 organization, formed in 1952, that serves the growing village of Laveen by providing opportunities for leadership, collaboration, and community connections. The race is also coordinated in part with the South Mountain Festival Committee, the City of Phoenix Parks Department, and the Cesar Chavez High School Cross Country Staff and Students.

The South Mountain/Laveen Village Festival Committee and the Phoenix Parks and Recreation Department put on another Family Fun Event.

We had beautiful November weather! There was Local Entertainment from the main stage, Youth Activities, Craft Booths and a Vendor Area, and fishing with the Arizona Game & Fish - all for FREE.
